How to be a great team member !
I learned the importance of listening and collaborating with other musicians. Playing in a small ensemble helped me understand how everyone's part fits together and how we can communicate in music. I also became more aware of tempo and how to stay in sync with the group, which taught me to be both flexible and confident in my playing.
The joy of playing music with others!
Note from a parent: my child loved playing with kids his age and the piece he was assigned because it was beautiful and he had solos and it was fun to play with experienced musicians. He liked his coach because she gave him good “tips” and whenever she critiques him there was always also a positive critique as well.
